DriveCars.md — a large-scale South Korean car catalog

Challenge

The catalog needs to handle a large number of vehicles and metadata, filter quickly and synchronize with an external source on a regular basis while keeping the customer experience simple in Romanian and Russian.

Solution

• WordPress + WooCommerce with a custom automotive data model
• Automated Encar import and inventory updates
• MeiliSearch for fast search and filtering
• RU/RO localization, color normalization and SEO-friendly URLs
• VIN, history, inspection and cost calculation data

Outcome

The project combines ecommerce infrastructure, a large catalog and a custom importer. The core engineering challenge is keeping search and updates stable as inventory and metadata grow.
